Movie Review: Constantine

I just came back from watching the movie Constantine. I really liked the movie and it was fun to watch on a snowy Sunday afternoon.

I have to admit I was only mildly interested in seeing the movie at first since I don't usually like movies that heavily feature any kind of blood guts and/or gore in them, especially when it has to do with anything of the supernatural nature. But it was good, I really enjoyed the story and found that they didn't really spend a whole lot of time showing people getting ripped apart or anything like that.

There were a few scenes in the movie where I had to turn away since (as I mentioned before) I really don't care for the gory bits of the movie, but it didn't take away from the experience. That, to me is the sign of a good story, one that doesn't need to rely heavily on effects or overly dramatic parts to get the point across. Not that I'm into them but some of the best horror movies left most to the imagination rather than play everything out litterally.

The movie also seemed to be somewhat of an anti-smoking campaign oddly enough, but you'll have to go see the movie to see what I'm talking about there. All in all I give the movie 2 thumbs up and I would go see it again if the opportunity presented itself. Posted by Hello

and with that, I'm off to....

well Lemony Snicket, but I'll see it!

:D

LOL Ok! But I suppose this movie could be considered as a series of unfortunate events as well. Ha!

hahaha!

that was tops! :)
