Spring 2005 Cake of the Month

Well here it is, my Spring 2005 Cake of the Month demo cake. I was showing it off in the classroom today. For this cake I decided to make use of my drop string work around the edges, I got the idea from an old Wilton yearbook from 1974. I find that the older yearbooks have much more interesting borders than the newer ones do. I also decided to do a border of grass instead of the usual shells since I thought it looked more spring-like.

All in all I think the Meet the Teacher thing went well, I now have 4 people instead of just 1 person in my level 1 class so that's great we can actually run the class now. I don't know how good a of a job I did promoting the Spring cake of the month class though. But maybe I can do that during classes later since it's not until the end of the month. Posted by Hello

Awww!! It's so bright! I do love that shade of green!

Can sally have a piece? She has been a very good girl! This is not sharanny typing!

Whaddya mean "get off the keyboard, Sally?"

Aww... silly little Sally, of course I'd let you have a slice if you were here. The cake was chocolate on the inside too, a bit daring for me I must say to not get the crumbs on the nice white icing but it all worked ou tin the end. :)

Pretty cake! Lambies like to eat grass and flowers... yummmy!!!
