Kelly's New Place

Kelly moved out of ISV last weekend and is now happily settled in her new house about a 5 minute walk away from ISV. Tonight she had us over for a little gathering to show off her new place and to chat with friends.

Everyone who came to the party happened to be Canadian so there was much bantering and joking around without having to explain what we were talking about to "foreigners" it was a nice break from the usual everyday language/cultural issues.

After munching on chips and apple slices with caramel/chocolate dip with everyone I got a tour of the new place, it's actually quite nice. There's a covered driveway and 3 quite spacious bedrooms in the house along with 2 bathrooms which was the weirdest part of the house. The first bathroom has a toilet, that's it, no sink or anything, it's basically a closet with a light and a toilet inside. The second bathroom has a shower, bath tub and a sink. Apparently this style is quite common for both Australia and Europe (according to Elena). So if you go to the toilet you have to go to another room to wash your hands. All of us Canadians agreed that it seemed a bit unhygenic to do it that way.

Anyway, we all had a great time and it was nice to see everyone again. Posted by Picasa
